Blue Labs is looking for a Director of Product Management. As Director of Product Management, you’ll co-lead our flagship Ripple product with our founding team, and you’ll be responsible for development and execution of the product roadmap. We have a core vision for where we want to take the product, but we need your help to refine, develop, and nurture it properly. Over the next year, we expect to make a series of bets on different directions the product can go, and you’ll lead us in defining those possibilities, making the business case for new product directions, and ultimately placing the right bets. From there, you will guide the actual day-to-day execution of the product roadmap. You will set the standard for product management at BlueLabs and work in close tandem with our engineers, data scientists, and designers to develop the product.
This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer and will be based in Washington, DC.
Lead the effort to develop clear and compelling new product directions, including formulation of ideas, user and market research, creation of business case/model (including pricing, licensing, etc), and development of product requirements
Foster a shared understanding of the product throughout the product development team and the broader organization through the creation of user stories and other supporting documents
Partner with senior leadership to define the product vision, including identifying the opportunity and actively seeking out new opportunities to further that vision
Develop and manage a product roadmap that aligns with business strategy and market needs
Serve as the go-to expert on the product for our sales and account teams
Own the complete product lifecycle from formation to development to delivery and execution
Manage product development process in close partnership with engineering leadership

We expect that you’ll have:
Insatiable hunger to understand the customer and the opportunity space, and to define the leanest and meanest product to satisfy both
Passion for social impact, balanced by a keen instinct for business practicalities
Extensive experience in product management in a software product-focused organization
Familiarity with different elements of the modern application tech stack and ability to work with engineers to weigh the pros and cons of different technical strategies
Keen eye for user experience considerations
Curiosity and desire to dig below the surface when presented with data and metrics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Commitment to working within a team setting to make and communicate important decisions
History of leadership in technical settings
Experience with core analytical tools (SQL, spreadsheets, etc) or an eagerness to build those skills
The salary for this role starts at $120,000+/year. Blue Labs offers excellent benefits including unlimited paid leave.
