BlueLabs is a leading provider of analytics services and technology for government, business, and campaigns. Founded in 2013 by senior members of the Obama for America re-election campaign team, we help our clients optimize their engagements with individual customers, supporters and stakeholders to achieve their goals. 

 

Today, our team counts over 40 data scientists, engineers, and strategists from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for using data to solve the world’s greatest social and analytical challenges.  We’ve served more than 400 organizations ranging from political campaigns to advocacy groups, unions, government agencies, and international groups, as well as companies in the automotive, travel, consumer packaged goods, entertainment, healthcare, media, telecom, and other industries.  Along the way, we’ve developed some of the most innovative tools available in analytics, media optimization, reporting, and influencer outreach. 

 

The Team:

BlueLabs’ Client Solutions Team is responsible for growing and diversifying BlueLabs’ client base and revenue. We are a fast-moving group of committed individuals who work collaboratively to sell custom analytics solutions for a variety of organizational challenges and client types. We work with prospective clients from first contact through contract and program implementation, making sure they receive the information they need to make optimal decisions. We serve hundreds of leads each year, about half of which are initiated by team members and half coming from external inquiries and networks. 

 

The Position

As the Marketing & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing BlueLabs’ marketing strategy, and providing sales support to the Client Solutions Team. You will use your marketing experience, paired with creativity and strong writing skills, to build the BlueLabs brand and strengthen its presence in advocacy, government, and business. This is an exciting, creative, and challenging role in which you will be responsible for expanding the brand and telling BlueLabs’ story. 

 

In this position you will:

  • Design and facilitate BlueLabs’ marketing strategy internally, in collaboration with BlueLabs leadership, and implement that strategy externally

  • Create and manage company content including individual website page content, case studies, blog entries, one-pagers, and talking points

  • Manage company presence online including company website, social media platforms, and our Medium page

  • Work with graphic designer to develop graphics, website design and other needed visuals

  • Conduct research and outreach to conferences for speaking slots

  • Develop short and long term marketing goals

  • Track and accomplish marketing goals by leading weekly marketing meetings

  • Provide support to business development team including but not limited to lead research and qualification, creation of client materials, proofreading and/or copy editing proposals and other collateral

  • Work with the Operations team to facilitate internal marketing events and processes including brand orientation, staff events, and staff acknowledgements and celebrations

  • Spearhead the planning of external events including BlueLabs’ annual holiday party, anniversary events, happy hours, networking events, etc.

 

You probably have:

  • Worked in a marketing role in which you maintained organizational social media accounts and other marketing platforms 

  • Experience wearing multiple hats and prioritizing competing tasks

You probably are:

  • An excellent writer, researcher, and communicator 

  • A person who enjoys meeting new people and is comfortable in new situations

  • A team player who enjoys working with and supporting others

  • Interested in building brand awareness and finding innovative ways to market a business

  • Creative and able to quickly translate abstract challenges into actionable solutions

  • Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced, and open environments

  • Able to hold yourself accountable to timelines and effectively manage your own work

  • Someone who values humility, inclusion, and accountability, and is excited to learn from others

You may also have:

 

  • 2+ years of professional work experience in the commercial, marketing, or corporate analytics sector

  • An established network of professional connections in the marketing, public affairs, advocacy, or corporate sectors

  • Working knowledge of data science and technical terminology

  • Experience with project management
